Ascot Royal Procession
Just like Oysters are to Champagne and Strawberries are to Cream......then the Ascot Royal Procession is to Royal Ascot. Each day of the Royal Meeting sees the procession starting from the end of the racecourse near the straight one mile start and taking the carriages, their horsemen and the dignitaries of the Royal Family past the enclosures where the crowds are able to wave and take pictures. The Queen of course is the main attraction and will of course be at the meeting at some point during the week. We are not sure which days due to other committments but we ...
Dress Code for Royal Ascot – Smart Elegance
Royal Ascot Dress Code The words Royal Ascot and Dress Code are synonymous with toffs, upper class twits and the old school tie brigade. Well that used to be the case, but not anymore. Although Ascot is still very much steeped in it's Royal Traditions it is a much more cosmopolitan event that when Viscount Churchill was in charge of the invitation list. It was said that the Viscount used to vet any application and place them into 3 seperate categories Certainly, Perhaps and Cetrtainly Not. As you see from that beautiful couple in the main image. The term Royal Ascot Dress Code is ...

Royal Ascot Horse – Proof that Pegasus Could Fly
Hi Guys, you know if you read my racing blogs that I am an absolute fanatic when it comes to horses and horse racing in general but i had to share this incredible photo from last years meeting. I've titled the post "Royal Ascot Horse - Proof that Pegasus Could Fly" Look at the horse in the blue silks with the dark cap, can you see how the photographer has captured the sheen on the horses coat against the glint of the sun. It makes the horse look like a shining beacon and the blue silks and dark cap seem to blend ...

Royal Ascot Betting Tips – Day 5
Hi guys so here we go with the last day of the Royal Ascot Meeting and as we stand we have a current profit on the week of +25 Points and with our bets today this means that we have a guaranteed minimum profit on the week of +15 points which i think is a very solid result. So 15 points profit on the week with today to come.
RACE 1 This is a very tricky race to call with Aiden Obrien having two very strong contenders and both have run against each other with Jackaroo coming out on top, however it could be a different story today. So the selection is ESKIMO at 8/1 Win. This one is improving and has run green both starts but with Ryan Moore looking a good jockey booking we’ll go with this one. I can see Fanny May running a big race at a big price.
RACE 2Harbinger is going to be mighty short here and should win but at the likely odds of 1/1 does not really seem any value. So we turn to a horse which i still believe can fulfill the promise it showed in it’s first 2 runs after which it was made provisional favourite for the Derby and we will go withSOUTH EASTER at 25/1 Each Way. The horse ran a cracker to finish 2nd behind Green Moon and this step up in trip could see it able to turn the tables.
RACE 3 Well I must say that this looks like the best race of the week. I do not think i have ever seen such a strong field in the UK for a six furlong sprint and with the betting at 7/1 the field it just shows the strength in depth.
Starspangledbanner could quite easily atone for his run at York when not too far behind Showcasing and Fleeting Spirit always runs well fresh and has abundant class.
Hoowever their are a couple i really like here with one being an improver and the other dropping back in trip which looks sure to suit, so we are going with two each way here and my main fancy is LORD SHANAKILL 33/1 Each Way. This has run two cracking good races against Paco Boy over a mile and then recently being beaten a couple of lengths by Main Aim. I think Henry Cecils tactics in dropping in trip could pay big dividends
The second one in this and a real improver is TRIPLE ASPECT 28/1 Each Way. This one has just continued to improve and with a stiff six furlongs looking sure to suit I can see this being bang there at the business end of the race.n did not get a good run in the Irish 1000 Guineas and I think compensation awaits today.
RACE 4 And here we have the Wokingham Handicap another big field handicap and the one which looks like it has been laid out for the race is GENKI 9/1 Win. I would not normally go WIN in a race like this but i feel that Genki has such strong claims as i pointed out on one of my videos last week.
RACE 5 After yesterdays victory of Monterosso, Mark Johnston and Frankie Dettori team up again and In this one I am going for SUBMARINER 9/1 Win. Looks like it will get the trip and has improved with every run.
RACE 6 And now we come to the last race of the meeting and this is the longest race on the flat calender. Could Old Carraciola win it again at the age of 13?? It looks like Sentry Duty, another of Hendersons horses with Keiran Fallon booked looks to have a fine chance and this one always runs it’s best races fresh so the layoff is no concern, however I am gig to go with a proven performer this season with solid form and that is MUNSEF 7/1 Win.
