July Meeting Tips – Day 3

DAY ONE RESULT +1 point profit
DAY TWO RESULT + 69.5 points profit

Running Profit +70.5 points

Hi guys, well i got it a mixture of right and wrong on Day 1 but Day 2 provided you with a huge 40/1 winner (returned 59 on Betfair) plus other winners at 9/1, 7/1 and 5/2 so yesterday we ended up with a profit of 69.5 points which puts us up 70.5 points on the week.

So on my normal staking plan of 1 point EW the worst we can come out is a profit of 42.5 points. But we aint finished yet.

The fields are still rather small which does not lend itself to bigger prices so will like the first two days be giving some WIN ONLY bets.

So here we go with the Third day of the July Meeting.

RACE 1 We kick off with a class 2 handicap and this gives us a chance to getinto profit for the day right away. I know you may not agree but here i am going with NO HUBRIS at 33/1 EW this horse came out first time this season and won a class 3 off a mark of 98 and today runs off 95 so from a handicapping perspective has every chance and is overpriced. The price is based on it’s last two runs….finished last both of those and the form of Paul Cole in general.

It just draws me back to last season when it won first time up after being heavily backed and then next run finished just over 8 lengths behind Canford Cliffs………i dont think any of these can get within that distance of Canford Cliffs, but at 33/1 the selection looks a little bit of value.

RACE 2 This 6 runner race is one i have been looking forward to since the entries were announced and it has to be KLAMMER at 11/2 Win as this is an absolutely crazy price.

The horse is bound to appreciate 7 furlongs and has run green each of it’s three races and last time out at Royal Ascot finished strongly after looking a lost cause with two furlongs to run. This could easily turn out to be a guineas horse in my opinion.

RACE 3 Well this race gives us the opportunity to try and pick another big price and although my selection is not as big as i would like again it represents tremendous each way value and the one I like here is NOBLE CITIZEN 16/1 EW It’s got in at the very bottom of a tight handicap and after running two tremendous races at Ascot finishing 6/29 and 4/29 today is gonna be the day i believe. William Buick keeps faith with the horse which is a huge positive and i cannot see this one out of the frame.

RACE 4 Do you want to take 7/4 in a race of such quality. I will not be waving my Starspangledbanner because i can get better value from a horse which finished just behind it last time and is also1lb better off and did not get the run of the race.

For me SOCIETY ROCK 14/1 EW looks a knocking each way bet and even backing each way will give you a small return on your investment for a place. I know the fav was impressive last time but if our selection gets the run this time along with the slight weight advantage then the horse cannot finish any further than 3/4 of a length behind the fav and that is good enough for me.

RACE 5 No view on this maiden and a NO BET for me

RACE 6 An intruiging nursery event here and a cracking form line which i think will point us in the direction of SINGAPORE LILLY 12/1 EW that is the pick. It’s form at Epsom behind Approve (Won at Royal Ascot) Casual Glimpse (Won here Yesterday) is absolutely top notch.

We can forgive its run at Epsom as like so many in that race the track was the undoing of our selection. Had previously shown great improvement from her first race and must have outstanding claims.

RACE 7 The final race of the day is another handicap and I cannot belive how the hell this has been handicapped. Maybe the handicapper had his eyes closed or just popped off to the Champagne bar before giving this a rating. BAY WILLOW 2/1 WIN is thrown in and has at least 7lbs in hand on anything in the field.

So Good luck with those guys

July Meeting Tips – Day 2

DAY ONE RESULT +1 point profit
DAY TWO RESULT + 69.5 points profit

Running Profit +70.5 points

Hi guys, well i got it a mixture of right and wrong yesterday but still ended up with a 1 point profit and although not too exciting it means we are not in any trouble after Day 1 of the July Meeting.

As i said we had 15 points profit at Royal Ascot and I am confident we can do as well during the July Meeting.

The only issue with the first two days is that the fields are rather small which does not lend itself to bigger prices which is where i tend to look when making my selections.

So here we go with the second day of the July Meeting.

RACE 1 Again the prices are not over attractive butCORSICA at 5/2 Win looks absolutely thrown in on it’s previous running with Harris Tweed. Harris Tweed beat it a little over 5 lengths when they last met but there is more than a stone turnaround in the weights and Corsica has since gone on to run a cracking race at Ascot.

RACE 2This 5 runner race is incredible. I tipped up Approve at Royal Ascot and I cannot for the life of me understand that Elzaam is priced at 4/7 in this race. Of course it has an outstanding chance and will lead them a merry dance but APPROVE at 9/1 Each Way is an absolutely crazy price. The horse is bound to appreciate 6 furlongs much more than Elzaam and I can see the horse eating Elzaam up in the last 100 yards.

RACE 3 Well this race gives us the opportunity to try and pick one out at a price and the one I like here is CIRCUMVENT 40/1 EW Although it’s handicap mark of 103 looks way too high (has won off 93) i still think it’s form last season entitles it to be rated higher (Believe it can win off 98) and with others in the field not even up to that mark then this one is probably not as badly handicapped as it looks at first sight. I believe this could be very good Each Way Value.

RACE 4 I would love to see Nanton run a big race here and this race is a NO BET for me. It looks like Spanish Moon should win but it’s a watching race for me.

RACE 5 Another small field 2yo race and the key to this is the result of the second race. If Approve wins or runs very well then it gives a great pointer to the chance of CASUAL GLIMPSE 8/1 EW This one finshed just behind Approve at Epsom when really well fancied but just did not handle the track and had previously beaten Chilworth Lad who seems to be the yardstick for all the best 2 year olds this season. I think Casual Glimpse is way overpriced and is knocking good EW value.

RACE 6 An intruiging conditions event where you have horses like Critical Moment and Trade Fair trading around the 5/2 mark and yet both have something to prove. Actually most of this field have shown potential but never fulfilled it. For me it has to be winner off 109 and now rated 103 PARTY DOCTOR 9/1 EW that is the pick. It’s form behind Elusive Pimpernel at York last year is arguably the best piece of form on offer and at the prices looks some value.

RACE 7 The final race of the day is another handicap and here is one that has been dropped markedly in grade and looks to have a fine chance after it’s form was franked heavily yesterday by the win of Music Show. ASTROPHYSICAL JET 7/1 WIN looks overpriced and is already being backed today.

This one has been running consistently well in better grade and may have been found a good opportunity to get off the mark after being beaten only 8 lengths by yesterdays Falmouth heroine Music Show.

So Good luck with those guys

July Meeting Tips – Day 1

DAY ONE RESULT +1point profit

Hi guys, well Royal Ascot is now a distant memory but the quality racing still keeps rolling on and today is the start of The July Meeting at Newmarket. After another successful week during Royal Ascot where we madea profit on the week of 15 points to level stakes, I am confident we can do as well during the July Meeting,

Normally i would post up the tips by Video but unfortunately I am laid up with a twisted ankle so will resume the video tips during Glorious Goodwood.

Also after this week I will be giving a complete rundown of all the tipsw I have given since March for the main meetings and i presume it will be a healthy profit.

So here we go with the first day of the July Meeting.

RACE 1 This is a tricky handicap to call but the one I like here is MISS ZOOTER at 7/1 Win. This one is improving and ran very well at Ascot behind Timepiece in what was a very hot race and today’s event is a step down in grade. My only concern is the drop in trip to 7 furlongs but this one will be finishing well when other have cried enough.

RACE 2This 20 runner handicap will take some solving but I am relying on Ascot Form to play a part here and the one I am going with is EXCELLENT GUEST at 20/1 Each Way. The horse ran over a mile at Ascot and i was sure it was going to get the trip but after travelling really strongly to about 6 and a half furlongs it went out like a light. The drop back to 6 is therefore a huge positive and the horse has been dropped a further 1lb by the handicapper.

RACE 3 MEMORY should uphold the form from Royal Ascot but this is a NO BET race for me.

RACE 4 And here we have the Falmouth Stakes and a very good renewal of the race with the Dual Guineas winner (or was it 2nd) taking part along with the 1st and 2nd from the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

I tipped up MUSIC SHOW at Royal Ascot and i do think this can turn the form round with the Lilly Langtry and Gile ne Greine after getting way off the pace before finishing strongly. My feelings are this one really does need a step up in trip.

However, having mised the Ascot Meeting then SPECIAL DUTY 7/2 Win must have an outstanding chance and with the the interesting Jockey Booking i think this one will take some beating.

RACE 5 Always difficult to pick out a horse in one of these maidens when very little form to go on so a NO BET. The one that looks the part is El Muqbil with Brian Meehan being in outstanding form and always keeping his good 2yo horses for these type of meetings.

RACE 6 Another maiden here but this one looks interesting and i think that MATA KERANJANG 2/1Win just has the form in the book. Of course all of those placings look off putting but the horse has run so consistently well. I do not usually put short prices up but this one should win today.

RACE 7 The final race of the day is another big field handicap and here is my main BIG PRICE selection of the day. In this race we are going with FOLLOW THE FLAG 28/1 EW (That is only available with Hills)

This one has been running consistently well off a pound higher mark and is only 3lbs higher than it’s last winning mark when winning at………NEWMARKET.

So Good luck with those guys

Royal Ascot Betting Tips – Day 5

Hi guys so here we go with the last day of the Royal Ascot Meeting and as we stand we have a current profit on the week of +25 Points and with our bets today this means that we have a guaranteed minimum profit on the week of +15 points which i think is a very solid result. So 15 points profit on the week with today to come.

RACE 1 This is a very tricky race to call with Aiden Obrien having two very strong contenders and both have run against each other with Jackaroo coming out on top, however it could be a different story today. So the selection is ESKIMO at 8/1 Win. This one is improving and has run green both starts but with Ryan Moore looking a good jockey booking we’ll go with this one. I can see Fanny May running a big race at a big price.

RACE 2Harbinger is going to be mighty short here and should win but at the likely odds of 1/1 does not really seem any value. So we turn to a horse which i still believe can fulfill the promise it showed in it’s first 2 runs after which it was made provisional favourite for the Derby and we will go withSOUTH EASTER at 25/1 Each Way. The horse ran a cracker to finish 2nd behind Green Moon and this step up in trip could see it able to turn the tables.

RACE 3 Well I must say that this looks like the best race of the week. I do not think i have ever seen such a strong field in the UK for a six furlong sprint and with the betting at 7/1 the field it just shows the strength in depth.

Starspangledbanner could quite easily atone for his run at York when not too far behind Showcasing and Fleeting Spirit always runs well fresh and has abundant class.

Hoowever their are a couple i really like here with one being an improver and the other dropping back in trip which looks sure to suit, so we are going with two each way here and my main fancy is LORD SHANAKILL 33/1 Each Way. This has run two cracking good races against Paco Boy over a mile and then recently being beaten a couple of lengths by Main Aim. I think Henry Cecils tactics in dropping in trip could pay big dividends

The second one in this and a real improver is TRIPLE ASPECT 28/1 Each Way. This one has just continued to improve and with a stiff six furlongs looking sure to suit I can see this being bang there at the business end of the race.n did not get a good run in the Irish 1000 Guineas and I think compensation awaits today.

RACE 4 And here we have the Wokingham Handicap another big field handicap and the one which looks like it has been laid out for the race is GENKI 9/1 Win. I would not normally go WIN in a race like this but i feel that Genki has such strong claims as i pointed out on one of my videos last week.

RACE 5 After yesterdays victory of Monterosso, Mark Johnston and Frankie Dettori team up again and In this one I am going for SUBMARINER 9/1 Win. Looks like it will get the trip and has improved with every run.

RACE 6 And now we come to the last race of the meeting and this is the longest race on the flat calender. Could Old Carraciola win it again at the age of 13?? It looks like Sentry Duty, another of Hendersons horses with Keiran Fallon booked looks to have a fine chance and this one always runs it’s best races fresh so the layoff is no concern, however I am gig to go with a proven performer this season with solid form and that is MUNSEF 7/1 Win.

Royal Ascot Betting Tips – Day 4

Hi Guys,

So here we go with tips for Day 4 at Royal Ascot and hope you helped yourself to the 2 winners yesterday at 16/1 andf 8/1. Lets hope we can find a nice 20/1 shot for you today. Check out the video below.

RACE 1 After yesterdays run from Approve It has to got to be EMMAS GIFT at 66/1 Each Way. This one is improving all the time and through a line with Chilworth Lad should be capable of running as well as Approve yesterday.

RACE 2 Its a big step up in grade and the one i like a lot here is MONTROSSO at 9/2 WIN. The horse ran a cracker to finish 2nd behind Green Moon and this step up in trip could see it able to turn the tables.

RACE 3 Well I must say that this years Coronation Stakes is weak in my opinion and it wont take as much winning as in past years.

Jaqueline Quest could quite easily atone for her disqualification in the 1000 Guines but the one i like here is MUSIC SHOW 6/1 Win. It was drawn badly at Newmarket and then did not get a good run in the Irish 1000 Guineas and I think compensation awaits today.

RACE 4 And here we have the Wolferton Handicap with Rainbow Peak a mighty short 2/1 Fav ( Not one fav has won this race since it has been run, all 8 years)

The one I like a lot here is STEELE TANGO 20/1 EW. This horse has been running creditably off a mark of 112 in Group 3 company and before that was a winner at Newmarket off of 108 and today runs off this mark so has been given every chance. I think the handicap mark and drop in company should see this one run a very big race.

RACE 5 In this one I am going for Richard Hannons PRIVATE STORY 20/1 EW. Looks like it will get the trip and has a touch of class.

RACE 6 Well I think this is very tough as could not find one that was well handicapped in my view but i have spotted one which i think will run a sound race and on it’s last time out win when it beat ST Moritz it must have a squeak. So It’s DUBAI DYNAMO 20/1 EW and with St MOritsz running such a good race earlier in the week the form is there for all to see.

Royal Ascot Betting Tips – Day 3

So here we go with Day 3 Tips and after the first two days we find ourselves showing a loss of – 5  points to level stakes profits. Looking to get out two big price Each Way shots in the frame today at 16/1 and 25/1 respectively with one of our win bets to get us into profit.

RACE 1 It has to got to be APPROVE at 16/1 Each Way. This ran a cracking race last time at Epsom and had a terrible run before finishing 4th. Would certainly have beaten Dubawi Gold who re-oposses today and is a shorter price but it is its form with Chilworth lad earlier in the season which gives it a great chance with the favourite today Dinkum Diamond.

RACE 2 The Ribblesdale is always a great race for the fillies and the one i like a lot here  is PIPETTE at 12/1 WIN. The horse ran a cracker to finish 2nd last time behind the Oaks winner Snow fairy and this first try at a mile and a half looks sure to suit. (SO PIPETTE HAS BEEN PULLED OUT SO THIS WILL BE A NO BET RACE)

RACE 3 Well I must say that this years Gold Cup is one of the classiest renewals for a while. No Yeats this time around which in fact has made it a bit more competitive as the betting suggests. I know Manifest could be anything but 7/2 about a horse that has to travel 6 furlongs further than ever before could cause this ones downfall.

We have two incredibly high class horses in Ask and Kasbah Bliss, and it is the latter that I will side with. Last year Kasbah Bliss was favourite to beat the mighty Yeats at Longchamp over 2 miles and 3 furlongs and they finished 2nd and 3rd respectively so without any stamina doubts it has to be KASBAH BLISS at 7/1 WIN

RACE 4 And here we have another 30 runner handicap and after yesterday we need to look for a high draw and the one I am going for here is EXCELLENT GUEST at 25/1 Each Way This is the horses first try at a mile and has a solid piece of course form over 7 furlongs. This season the horse has had the speed to lead over 6 furlongs but has been outpaced at the business end of the race and this looks like it could be great  each way value from stall 22 where he should have the pace to take up a prominent pitch on the far side.

N.B. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PLACE YOUR BETS WITH A BOOKMAKER OFFERING 1/4 Odds 1-2-3-4-5

RACE 5 Is the race where I believe The Queen will make everybody’s day by having a winner with QUADRILLE at 6/1 WIN This horse is highly progressive and before winning last time out finished 2nd to Red Jazz who franked the form yesterday by finishing second itself. With only five runs so far Quadrille is still open to big improvement and of course I think Richard Hannon will be having this one SPOT ON for Her Majesty.

RACE 6 Well I think that this is not as strong a race as the numbers suggest as their are three or four very progressive horses which should fight out the finish. For me it is going to be DANDINO 8/1 Each Way to take this. Its performance at Epsom off a strong pace was one of great improvement and the way the horse quickened was mightily impressive.

So that is my race by race selections and now below you will see my Placepot Selections (We were unlucky on Day 1 just going down on the last leg and had 4 from 6 on Day 2)

Race 1 Numbers 2, 8

Race 2 Number 12

Royal Ascot Betting Tips – Day 2

So here we are at Day 2 of the Royal Ascot meeting and please see my video tips below.

RACE 1 It has to be SHAKESPEREAN 9/2 to Win. With a pull in the weights for beating the likes of Kaptain Kirkup and Mon Cadeux last time up the horse looks very well treated and it’s form is rock solid including it’s sixth in last years Racing Post Trophy.

RACE 2 Having looked at the way some of these are improving I will have to side with SHAMWARI LODGE 13/2 Each Way. The horse was a little hit and miss as a three year old but this season has won all three starts in convincing fashion. Sure to have the strong pace which will make the race run to suit and can mow these down late.

RACE 3 Well I must say that with Goldikova winning the Queen Anne yesterday everything in this race points to BYWORD 7/2 to Win. This one was only beaten 1/2 a length by Goldikova last time out so the form is absolutely bang on. I am not going to go for two here but keep an eye on Allybar at 16/1. This one beat Byword last year and has since run a fabulous race in the Dubai World Cup. This one does look overpriced.

RACE 4 And here we have the 30 runner Royal Hunt Cup and I am going for two in the race. I must say I think I may have found a very nice one here and my main selection is NOBLE CITIZEN 40/1 Each Way. This one finished just a length behind today’s favourite Dandy Boy last time out over the course and looks massively overpriced. It is now 3lbs better off with the favourite and I cannot understand why one is 40/1 and the other is 8/1 fav.

My second selection in the race is SMOKEY OAKEY 66/1 Each Way and this one looks like it has been given a nice break to maybe protect it’s handicap mark. Finished 4th in this seasons Lincoln at Donny and runs of the same mark. The only slight concern is the ground as all it’s best runs have come with cut, but the ground is forecast as good so no real excuses.

N.B. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO PLACE YOUR BETS WITH A BOOKMAKER OFFERING 1/4 Odds 1-2-3-4-5

RACE 5 Is the 5 furlong speed test for fillies, The Queen Mary Stakes and of course we have lots of very unexposed horses in this. It is difficult to get  a handle on the form as at this time of year with the weather warming up these fillies can improve dramatically from one run to the next. However I am going to go with LADIES ARE FOREVER 16/1 Each Way. I was going through the video form and this one won very easily on it’s first attempt, travelling strongly and quickening really well to win going away by 6 lengths. One to keep an eye on here is first time up Saskias Dream from Jane Chapple-Hyams yard. With her horse Klammer running very well in the Coventry i think she will have a good idea of just how good Saskias Dream is.

RACE 6 Well I think that Mr Stoute has really pulled the wool over the handicappers eyes here. And in this race it has to be the highly progressive SAFINA 5/1 Win to take this. I am surprised at how well handicapped this looks. If you look at it’s form with Music Show which is rated 110 and what that horse has achieved in both the English and Irish 1000 Guineas this looks like it should have a rating of around104 and yet runs off 96. To me this one looks well in.

So that is my race by race selections and now below you will see my Placepot Selections (We were unlucky on Day 1 just going down on the last leg)

Windsor Castle Stakes Winning Jockey……….maybe

On Day 1 of the Royal Meeting we see American trainer Wesley Ward and his new jockey trying to grasp Royal Ascot glory with a speedy two year old called Metropolitan Man and it would be no surprise to see those bumble be stripes come out victorious again after Strike the Tiger last year.

Below is how we can expect the post race interview to go with the horse’s winning jockey.

REPORTER……”So how did the start of the race go for you, How was he in the starting stall?”

JOCKEY…….”Well you know…. i was just thinking COME OUT, COME OUT

REPORTER…..”So when the gates opened did you get the start you wanted?”

REPORTER….”Well he was well away, how did he travel during the race?”

REPORTER…….”Were you worried he was going too fast early?”

JOCKEY…….” No way, it was like it was GENTLE ON MY MIND…… i really felt like I was just RIDING THE RAINBOW

REPORTER…….”That’s fantastic, so how do you feel after your first Royal Ascot Winner”

JOCKEY……..” Well, I dont know how your Queen would feel but I feel like I have just gone FROM A JACK TO A KING, to tell you the truth……I’m ALL SHOOK UP. You know this is so special and this horse well he’s a real HOUND DOG.

Royal Ascot Betting – Head to Head Analysis

Hi Guys,

Royal Ascot Betting and betting at Royal Ascot in general is difficult enough even at the best of times, and when your horse race betting or studying form then any little edge you can give yourself is useful.

I been looking at a couple of ways to try and analyse the form more quickly in big field handicaps where you get horses that have run against each other a number of times……and i think i have found a cool tool for you which is simple and free to use from sporting life.

I’ve recorded a video of how it works below

I think this is a useful punters weapon, nice and easy to help study Royal Ascot form and of course can help you to sift through those big field handicaps and and get your Royal Ascot Betting stategy sorted for the week.

Would love to hear your comments on this video and you can leave a comment below.

Epsom Derby Meeting – Day 2 Tips

Hi Guys……well after my dismal display yesterday hoping to point you in the direction of a couple of nice priced winners today.

13:40 Investec Vincent O’brien Handicap (3yo, Class 2, 1m 2f 18y, 13 runners)

FINE SIGHT at 33/1 EW in the first looks to have an opportunity to atone for a bad run first time out when needing the race. Prior to this was highly progressive last year and the hancicapper has give the horse a fair chance racing off a 2lb lower mark than his maiden win at Lingfied which also bodes well for this track. Fine sight also finished second at Epsom last year so we know the horse handles the track.

OUR JOE MAC 11/1 EW ran in the same race as fine sight at Chester only just failing to win and this step up to 10 furlongs looks ideal.

14:10 Investec Woodcote Stakes (listed) (2yo, Class 1, 6f, 9 runners)

CASUAL GLIMPSE 7/2 WIN has the form in the book and if you look at it’s form with Chilworth Lad which it beat at Goodwood then you’ll see that this has been well advertised with Chilworth Lad winning it second start and then finishing 2nd in a Class 1 next time.

14:40 Princess Elizabeth Stakes (sponsored By Investec) (group 3) (fillies And Mares) (3yo+, Class 1, 1m 114y, 9 runners)

JIRA 25/1 EW Looks to still be holding her form well and this Group 3 is really little more than a high grade listed event in reality. Jira has been running consistently without getting her head in front but with the weights in her favour, she is third best in behind the two joint favs must have a very sound chance of a place.

15:15 Investec Entrepreneurial Class ‘dash’ (heritage Handicap) (3yo+, 5f, 19 runners)

JACONET 16/1 EW Looks to have an outstanding chance in this speed test and being a front runner with tons of pace the race is likely to be set up nicely. Has won over 6 Furlongs so this track should suit with her mix of pace and sprint stamina and looks the value in a highly competitive race.

16:00 Investec Derby (group 1) (3yo, Class 1, 1m 4f 10y, 12 runners)

MIDAS TOUCH (Do I have it?) 7/1 WIN Looks the value in the race against his stablemate from Ballydoyle. Both horses have yet to travel over this trip and on the bare form both look likely to stay. Midas touch finished 3rd behind Jan Vermeer first time up with Jan Vermeer having already had a run.

16:45 Investec Surefooted Handicap (4yo+, Class 2, 1m 4f 10y, 17 runners)

NO BET I believe the winner will come from Coin of the Realm or Seeking The Buck

17:20 Investec Distinctive Handicap (4yo+, Class 2, 6f, 17 runners)

WE HAVE A DREAM 33/1 EW is a previous course winner and although being a good few pounds above its last winning marke has finished second 2 out of last 3 of the same type of mark and therefore being a horse which runs close to the pace and has a couple of pieces of place form over course and distance looks to have a sound EW shout

Todays Placepot
