Face of 2010

“Your Beautiful…..your beautiful…..your beautiful its true”………As the song goes from James Blunt

But the “Face of Ascot 2010″ who was chosen last year was Callie Moore and she was more astounded and surprised than anyone.

Callie who is based in London won the final award by defeating Heather Naylor and Susie Sparkes to take the final. This was announced live on the BBC on the final day of Royal Ascot, Saturday 20th June.

All three beautiful ladies had been racegoers during the week and little did they know that the pictures being taken were to lead to the culmination of this fantastic competition..

The judges had a hard task but were taken aback by their beauty, personality and chic panache.

The judges included TV Fashion Icon Jeff Banks, former presenter of The Clothes Show, Trudie Le Marie, style and fashion expeet of the Sunday Express, James Sherwood, BBC’s fashion guru, and Karen Diamond, director of the Models 1 agency.

Callie said she was stunned by her success, “It is amazing. I am completely in shock.”

Banks, who was one of the judges, complimented the final contestants saying…… “They were three different images and that made it very hard to split them. Callie has a rather old-fashioned appeal. She looks like a model in the style of Margaux Hemingway.”

And within minutes of winning the award Callie was thrusted straight into the limelight and was given the enviable task of presenting the trophy to the winner of the meeting’s final race, the Queen Alexandra Stakes.  Her role in the next year is to be an ambassador of the racecourse, and she’ll be taking part in fashion and modelling shoots with the agency Models 1 .

Her portfolio will then be used to market for the rest of the year and she will front the campaign for the 2011 competition.

Callie is the second Face of Ascot winner following Julie Falconer from San Francisco who was the Face of 2009.
