Royal Ascot Horse – Proof that Pegasus Could Fly
Hi Guys, you know if you read my racing blogs that I am an absolute fanatic when it comes to horses and horse racing in general but i had to share this incredible photo from last years meeting.
I’ve titled the post “Royal Ascot Horse – Proof that Pegasus Could Fly”
Look at the horse in the blue silks with the dark cap, can you see how the photographer has captured the sheen on the horses coat against the glint of the sun. It makes the horse look like a shining beacon and the blue silks and dark cap seem to blend in with the very dark (I think it’s Black) colour of the horse in the sun light.
Ok this makes the horse look great but if you look closely the horse actually does not have one foot on the ground…..hence the Pegasus quote.
It is very rare to see a picture like this and if you look closely you can see that this horse is just about to put his hind (back) legs down and use his power. You can just visualise it as it is just about to happen.
This image was taken by a photographer named la bete and i think he has captured this so well that i had to share this with you, it is one of the coolest racing images i have seen in a while.
